Welcome to the Ventura Council of Governments Web Site
VCOG is a joint powers authority formed by the ten cities and the County of Ventura to pursue our shared goal of maximizing the quality of life and productivity of our area. Our members are the cities of Camarillo, Fillmore, Moorpark, Ojai, Oxnard, Port Hueneme, San Buenaventura, Santa Paula, Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks, and the County of Ventura.
While as individual jurisdictions we value what make us unique and independent, there are times when our collective endeavors achieve better results. This vision of what we can do for our region as a whole drives our members in collaborating on solutions to issues of common concern in order to maintain and enhance our county’s exceptional quality of life. We strive to fulfill our vision through advocacy, education, and recommendations for best practices on matters of concern to the Ventura County region.
